Research interests

Develop relationships between Inherent Optical Properties (IOP) and biogeochemical components to increase the amount and quality of products derived from remote sensing of ocean colour, understand the scattering and backscattering of light by particles in seawater, improve the description of light propagation in ecosystem models.

Current projects

An investigation of the inherent optical properties of suspended material for the improvement of ERSEM and satellite maps (NERC small grant).
